The Path to Salvation
Understanding God's Gift of Eternal Life

What is Salvation?

Salvation is God's gracious gift of deliverance from sin and its consequences, made possible through faith in Jesus Christ. It's about being reconciled to God and receiving the promise of eternal life. The Bible teaches that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), but God, in His infinite love and mercy, provided a way for us to be saved.

The Role of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to earth, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, conquering death. His sacrifice is the ultimate payment for our sins. As John 3:16 famously states: "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Steps to Salvation (The ABCs)

A

Admit

Admit that you are a sinner and in need of a Savior. Romans 3:23 says, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."

B

Believe

Believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead. Romans 10:9 says, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

C

Confess

Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord. You can do this through prayer, acknowledging your sin, repenting (turning away from sin), and inviting Jesus into your life.

A Simple Prayer

"Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your name, Amen."

This prayer is a guide. The sincerity of your heart is what matters most.
